    Dear Ms Snelling:
I was a full time caregiver to both my mother and father. I know how beneficial it was for me to have people to reach out to for support, as well as to share stories. Thank you for founding the Caregiving Club. I would love to be a member.
I am a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, and have been working to found a program where I bring healing touch to the caregiver – in their home. As caregivers are aware, there is not always time to take care of yourself, so having someone come to you is beneficial. Healing touch helps to relax, relieve stress, headaches, helps with sleep. I recently did a radio interview where I talked about healing touch, what it is, and offered 2 techniques that the caregiver to do to help relax themself as well as their loved one. As you can tell, I am passionate about caregiving. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help promote care of the caregiver.
    Thank you

    Sincerely
    Diane Schmidt, CHTP

      Diane:
Thank you for reaching out. Right now we don’t require membership in Caregiving Club – it is a place where family caregivers can come to find good resources, learn more and know they are not alone. Thanks for being part of our Caregiving Club resources through this comment.
